- The mission of LMJS is to promote running for persons of all ages and abilities, and to foster a sense of community, camaraderie, and collaboration within the club and with other running organizations. LMJS Mission and Vision.
- LMJS is a large social, recreational, and competitive running club in Oakland, CA. Our Fourth Sunday Run features 5K, 10K, and 15K races around the lake. Our Tilden Tough Ten Miler, in the Berkeley Hills, is an alternative to the Bay-to-Breakers. LMJS overview.

- Lake Merritt Joggers and Striders (LMJS) was founded in 1977 by a small group of regulars training at Lake Merritt. LMJS history.
- LMJS encourages active participation by all of its members. All those interested in running, whether beginning, walking, jogging or competitive racing are welcome to join. How to Join.
- In addition to the regular Fourth Sunday Runs, LMJS conducts several special races during the year. Fourth Sunday Races.
