Join the official East Bay training program for the 2017 Oakland Running Festival!

Train for your spring marathon or half marathon with LMJS!

Marathon Training Program: 18-week program; first group run is Saturday, December 3 at 8:00 am

Half Marathon Training Program: 12-week program; first group run is January 14, 2017 at 8:00 am. Half marathon trainees are encouraged to join Saturday runs beginning in December.

    The fine print: Note that this is not a "couch to finish line" program.  We do expect our trainees to be running when the programs start. 
    • Marathon trainees should be running at least 20 miles a week by the beginning of the program.
    • Half marathon trainees should be running at least 12 miles a week before January.
    • Both programs start with runs of at least 6 miles for the first long run. Half marathon trainees are encouraged to start with the marathon trainees in November to build their training base.
