LMJS is proud to host the

RRCA 2019 California Championship 10-mile Race


RACE INFO: Join us for the 32nd annual Tilden Tough Ten, voted an “East Bay Express Reader’s Pick” for the swiftest East Bay foot race.  Sign up early, the race is limited to 300 runners.  Race takes place rain or shine and there are no refunds.

The begins and ends at Inspiration Point in Tilden Park. (see below for directions)

The race begins promptly at 8:00 am. Please arrive early so that you may find parking, pick up your bibs, use restrooms facilities, and otherwise prepare yourself for the race before the start.

TILDEN TOUGH TEN is the first race of the East Bay Triple Crown along with The Lake Chabot Half Marathon Trail Challenge, and the LMJS Woodmonster Trail Race.  Learn more about it here: https://eastbaytriplecrown.com.


Join the LMJS Trail Training Program to learn and work the East Bay Triple Crown courses starting May 5th to the Woodmonster Trail Race date June 23rd.  

RACE FEE: Special LMJS members only pre-reg entry fee of $30. Pre-reg fee for non-members is $40. Pre-registered runners must sign-up for the race by May 17th. Entry fee on race day, if the race is not sold-out, is $45. Register online at www.LMJS.org

BIB NUMBER PICK UP: Pre-reg runners pick up numbers race morning. Race day registration and bib pick-up opens at 7:00 a.m. Remember: Parking at Inspiration Point is limited, so please prepare to arrive early.

RACE T-SHIRT: Entry fee includes short sleeve finishers t-shirt in high quality technical fabric.  New color this year.  Special Sub 60, 70 and 80 t-shirts!!  Every effort will be made to accommodate your size but we ask for your understanding if we do not have your first choice.

RACE SWAG: Entry fee includes custom designed Buff and finishers medal.


AWARDS: Medals and certificates to top 3 finishers in 10-year age divisions, male and female:

Division A – 0 to 19

Division B – 20 to 29

Division C – 30 to 39

Division D – 40 to 49

Division E – 50 to 59

Division F – 60 to 69 

Division G – 70+

RRCA AWARDS: Medals for the male and female Open, Master, Grand Master and Senior Grand Master Champions

Directions to Inspiration Point, Tilden Regional Park, Wildcat Canyon Rd, Orinda

From North Berkeley/El Cerrito, go east on Marin Avenue to the Arlington Circle, then continue steeply uphill on Marin to the stop sign at Spruce. Turn left and go a mile to the intersection with Grizzly Peak Blvd. From Spruce/Grizzly Peak, head onto Wildcat Canyon
Road.  Follow Wildcat Canyon Road around to Inspiration Point parking lot which will be on your left.

From South Berkeley/Oakland, go to downtown Berkeley and head north on Shattuck. Turn right at the light at Cedar, about a mile from University, and left at the stop sign onto Spruce. Go two miles up the hill to Grizzly Peak Blvd. From Spruce/Grizzly Peak, head onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Follow Wildcat Canyon Road around to Inspiration Point parking lot which will be on your left.

Or, Take the Orinda exit from highway 24. Proceed north towards Orinda Village for about two miles on Camino Pablo. Turn left at the traffic light for Wildcat Canyon Road. Continue about two miles to the Inspiration Point parking lot on the right side of the road.
